MY JOURNEY

Behavioral Scientist in Social Psychology

Certified Counselor & Coach in Transactional Analysis

My Past

I have always been okay with myself. I have always gone my way, done what I liked and hung out with the people that I liked. Always been an outgoing and open person, happy to learn new things and  have fun. I think most people from my past would say that I’m a positive and energetic person. In 2011, after I finished my B.A. in Social Psychology I went to the US to study some more. There I met my husband.

Being New in Germany

In 2012, I moved from Sweden to Germany for love. However, I encountered unexpected linguistic and cultural challenges, leading to feelings of confusion, fear, anger, and sadness. My limited German made it tough to find a proper job, make friends, and adapt to the culture. Things were just different and unfamiliar here. Things got even harder when I became a mother, as I struggled with pregnancy and childbirth without understanding medical professionals and customs, and I ended up with a chronic condition that has since then been hindering me to a great extent.

What about now?

After years of feeling like a mere shadow of myself, I started working on myself and was able to see an opportunity to take control over my life and decided to become the change that I had longed for when I moved here. So, I created Women of the World—an international group for women in Erlangen with the purpose to support them with their psychosocial health, including (but not limited to) loneliness and integration with monthly visits to e.g. restaurants in Erlangen, to get to know the city in a safe way and create a safe space for connection. Additionally, I pursued further education, becoming a Certified Counselor in Transactional Analysis, equipping myself with the tools I needed to be able to support others better.

Take the first step towards a brighter future—schedule an appointment with me today. Together, let's embark on a journey of self-discovery and empowerment.

Yours sincerely,

How I work

International Women

Understanding

Individual Patterns

Make Healthy

New Decisions

Establish Healthy Habits

Adopt a Healthy Lifestyle

What we believe and the way we talk, think, feel, and act towards ourselves is the foundation of everything. It sets the conditions for how we will be able to handle the world around us: stress, conflicts, social interactions, priorities, boundaries, and communication.

1:1 Sessions

I offer a space for you to vent your thoughts, reflect, and learn about your patterns to better understand your surroundings using key concepts from Transactional Analysis (TA) theory. This approach provides a range of models to help you work with specific situations or broader topics in your life. Through our one-on-one sessions, you'll gain insights into why things are the way they are, work out healthier alternatives than those you've tried before, and receive support in your growth process.

Courses & Workshops

I apply TA methodology to effectively navigate daily challenges through my courses and workshops. By blending insightful lectures with interactive exercises, including group discussions and case studies, we create a vibrant learning environment. This approach fosters personal growth within a supportive context.

What is Transactional Analysis (TA)?

Transactional Analysis (TA) is a theory of human personality, social behavior, and a comprehensive system of psychotherapy that was originated by Eric Berne, MD, (1910-1970), in the late 1950s. TA is notably versatile and can be applied in various contexts, including psychotherapy, counseling, education, coaching, supervision, organizational development, consultation, and management training. One of the attractive features of TA is its applicability across these diverse situations, offering valuable insights and tools for understanding and improving human interactions and personal development.

For more information about TA, check out European Association of Transactional Analysis (EATA).

Why do I work with TA?
  • TA's versatile tools and simple terminology benefit my clients in various areas.

  • It's not about judgment but about nurturing a healthy and personalized life.

  • TA fosters an equal client-practitioner relationship with shared responsibilities.
